Dr Jessica Yin is a Urological surgeon based in Western Australia. Her subspecialty area is Reconstruction, Continence and Female Urology . She practices at Hollywood Private Hospital and was the Chief Urologist at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women for over 10 years, working with the Urogynaecology Unit.
Jessica is a member of the Functional Urology Special Advisory Group for the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) and is a Senior Lecturer and Surgical mentor at Notre Dame University. Jessica regularly facilitates at the Anatomy of Complications Workshop held annually at the Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre (CTEC) in Nedlands. She has been an instructor on a number of RACS courses including ASSET and CCRISP.
Her current research centres on post prostatectomy incontinence procedures for males, interstitial cystitis and mid-urethral sling surgery for females focusing on long term outcomes. Dr Yin has presented at several Urological and Continence forums on male and female continence surgery and has published work in this field. She remains a member of many professional bodies including RACS, USANZ, CFA and UGSA, IUGA and is affiliated with RANZCOG through her educational work.
Previously Jessica has held the position of State Chair of the Royal College of Surgeons, Board member for the Continence Advisory Service of WA and MAC Chair at Hollywood Private Hospital. In addition she was the President of SynchroWA (the governing body for synchronised swimming in Western Australia) for 2 years, successfully sending a WA heavy team to the 2016 Olympics.
